Spring Summer
2008 ushers in a new season of electric shades, lifting the mood with
deep corals to hot seris pink, blues popular by default from pale aqua to
bright peacock.
Ever popular our French navy remains a firm favourite and brings sharp focus
to the table. Primary colours are also set to make a come back, so a touch
of red, yellow and will be filtering through now and establishing themselves
firmly in the Autumn / Winter 2008 palet. So don't forget where you read it
first!
STYLE
That keeps Luciano Barbera firmly on the map. Making a come back this season
is the classic man's jean,
here with a little stretch and more than a touch of class is Brioni's own
creation. Suiting remains for the greater part a two button affair. But
for something different one may be tempted to try a single button or even
a double breasted suit which are offered with a choice of linings and
buttons as part of our made MTM range with a lead time of 4 weeks from
Pal Zileri and six weeks from Brioni. Jackets remain strong with
subtle window pane checks, woven pastles when put together with our
summer blazer completes the story.
SHAPES
Whilst Italy is busy promoting the small shoulder, shaped, shorter jacket
on the fashion side. We at
George Whitehead feel that staple traditional tailoring styles continue to
lead the way with two button
two vents our most popular selling model. However, flat fronted trousers now
lead over pleats making
for a neater look.
SHOES & ACCESSORIES
Shoes always feature high on everyones wish list. Church as ever offer their
own special brand of English style. The Italian influence comes forward to
reveal itself in their new homed toe shape. Stemar for the
other part remains softly styled with 'comfort in mind'. complemented
by belts, toilet bags, wallets and briefcases. Why not complete your
wardrobe with Underwear from Sunspel, a selection of fragrances from
Pal Zileri and ties by Brioni, Lanvin and Carnival de Venise
