SPRING / SUMMER 2010
Summer does not happen without colour and this year is no exception! Flashing light blues, soft maize yellow, flag red followed by radiant pinks and fresh stripes completes the extroverted impression.
The English market is very happy wearing colour and it provides great merchandising opportunities to bring to life products of a more subtle nature and highlights the 'collections' as they should be seen.
Fanciful details inside garments emphasise the overall expression inspired by the college theme of insignia and embroidery. Distinctive decorative stitching, contrast collar linings on jackets with bright buttons carries through to the shirts highlighted in floral fabrics,
‘Building on classic components of the wardrobe’ remains our motto and we continue to believe in
‘The Blazer’ both single and double-breasted incorporating comfortable moderately slender cuts.
Whilst 2010 has seen a downturn in tailoring it welcomes youthful idealism by taking greater aim at sportiness. A new silhouette results in innovative jackets shown in washed cottons both light
and relaxed. Fabrics include textured surfaces, crinkle effects and dapper seersucker which make for enthusiastic, casual chic, whilst refined used looks come out of feather light linens and silks.
